Chances are you or someone close to you is expecting a baby. This is a wonderful life- changing event. It is a time for healthy living, reflection, and anticipation for the future.

Women remember their birth experiences for the rest of their lives. A woman's birth experience impacts her ability to bond with her baby, future pregnancies, and her self- esteem. As such, it is crucial that these memories be positive ones. With positive energy and loving and professional support, this goal can be achieved, regardless of the outcome.

Birth was a transforming experience for me. I have given birth to two wonderful children, each with the support of my loving husband and the assistance of a trained doula. Each birth taught me more about myself and strengthened my belief in the importance of positive birth experiences for mothers and their babies.

I have had personal experience with both natural and medicated birth, breastfeeding challenges and newborn complications. I am a certified childbirth doula and postpartum doula with Global Birth Institute, a member of the Canadian Doula Association, DoulaCARE and Waterbirth International.
