About Angela

I remember the first time I learned about doulas. A student in a career studies class I was teaching was intrigued by the word and decided to do some further research on the topic. Ironically, I learned about what would become my eventual career while I was guiding others in exploring their own career interests.

Less than two years later my husband and I were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first child. We were excited, but nervous. What would birth be like? Would we be good parents? Although my preferences for birth have changed quite a bit since then, both my husband and I knew that we needed the support of someone who was experienced with birth.

The support we received from our doula was irreplaceable. Thanks to her knowledge, caring personality, and positive outlook, we are able to look back on the birth of our son with satisfaction. We did it—together.

When I became pregnant with our second child, I had begun my training as a doula. Even though I had learned much in my training, and most of the fear surrounding birth was gone, we valued the support we received the first time and decided to use the services of a doula once again. Our experience with the birth of our daughter was very different than the first time, but the feelings of accomplishment and satisfaction were the same.

So, now you know a little about Angela. I am so happy to have found such an important and fulfilling career as a doula, and consider it a privilege to share in the most intimate and wonderful experience in life with my clients.

"Amazing…an angel from above! As our birth plan quickly spiraled out of control, Angela exceeded our expectations at every turn. Her assistance was priceless in the critical moments of the most significant event of our lives. We will be forever grateful." Jessica Bergen, Robert Sharpe, and baby Johnathan
