Comfort Measures for Childbirth

Childbirth Doula :: Postpartum Doula :: FAQ :: Comfort Measures

"I'm so glad we decided to have a doula. If we had never met Angela I can only imagine what my labour would have been like. I would have been completely petrified and feeling very unprepared. Angela's help will be remembered for a lifetime and I would recommend her to anyone who is having a baby." Rachel and Philip Breese

"Angela provided invaluable support during labour and helped to make the birth experience of our first child so positive. The comfort measures and emotional support provided helped us to succeed in having a natural birth, which was our hope. We highly recommend Angela. We will definitely call her again!" Mary-Ellen Filice and Raymond Dartsch

These are examples of some of the non-medicated comfort measures I can provide you during labour. During the prenatal consultations we can explore which comfort measures best suit your needs, and practice some of them if you wish. I am open to learning other techniques which you may find comforting, and I am happy to instruct or involve your partner in these applying these support techniques as much as he/she is comfortable.
